Tom King, Mitch Gerads en DC’s Mister Miracle Grote Winnaars op de 2019 Eisner Awards

Naar jaarlijkse gewoonte, worden op San Diego Comic-Con ook de Eisner Awards gehouden – de Oscars van de comicbookindustrie zeg maar vernoemd naar de legendarische Will Eisner (The Spirit).

Dit jaar sprongen vooral DC’s Mister Miracle en schrijver Tom King eruit als grote winnaars. King ging lopen met de award voor beste schrijver, zijn Mister Miracle-kompaan Mitch Gerads met deze voor beste tekenaar en de DC-reeks werd bekroond tot beste limited serie. Tom King (samen met Jason Fabok) verkreeg ook de award voor beste kortverhaal, “The Talk of the Saints” in DC’s Swamp Thing Winter Special en ook de hardcover van Marvel’s The Vision leverde hem een beeldje op.
